Case study: Victoria's Secret

About the client

At the beginning it this important to understand that the customer is company SF1 Clips, which provides services to international brands such as Victoria Secret, Nespresso or Pandora in order to enter market of Central and Eastern Europe.

Their business model is flexible due to the nature of the company where every brand has it's specifications. Nevertheless, SF1 needs united technological platform, which ensures consistent flow of information across all the different countries for:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Invoicing
  • Inventory management
  • Point of Sales (PoS)
  • Reporting & Controlling

For a company operating across multiple markets, the challenge is not only to manage daily operations efficiently, but also to create a system that can scale together with the business and adapt to the needs of individual countries and brands.

At the same time, such a platform must not only cover back-office administration, but also support real retail operations in practice. In projects related to international retail brands, the system has to connect finance, stock movement, sales, reporting, and customer-facing operations into one functional environment. This is exactly where Odoo becomes a strong solution — not as a single-purpose tool, but as a central platform that can connect multiple business areas and create one operational backbone for further growth.

For SF1 Clips, this is especially important because every new market, every new branch, and every represented brand can bring specific local requirements. Without a unified ERP platform, the risk of fragmented data, duplicated processes, and operational inefficiencies would increase significantly. A scalable and adaptable Odoo environment therefore creates a strong foundation for controlled expansion and long-term process stability.

Challenge Overview:

  • Diverse accounting standards: Central and Eastern European countries often have varying accounting regulations and tax laws. The selected ERP system must be capable of accommodating local compliance requirements (e.g., VAT, local accounting principles) and adapting to the specific financial reporting needs of each market.
  • Scalability: As SF1 Clips scales its operations, the ERP system should seamlessly support the "rollout" strategy. This involves building from a single implementation to multiple branches without disruption. The system must allow for easy addition of new locations, users, and functionalities tailored to each country's unique market dynamics.
  • Integration capabilities: The chosen ERP system should integrate smoothly with existing local software and systems, such as POS (Point of Sale) systems, supply chain management platforms.
  • User-Friendly interface and training: The ERP solution must offer an intuitive user interface to minimize training time and enhance adoption among employees with varying levels of technological expertise across different countries.
  • Support & maintenance: As the system will operate in multiple jurisdictions, the availability of robust customer support and maintenance services in local languages and time zones will be crucial for ongoing operations.

In SF1’s case, the challenge was broader than ERP selection alone. The company needed a setup that would combine technology with local execution. That meant not only implementing Odoo, but also ensuring proper legal and registration steps in Slovakia, correct tax and accounting structure, payroll and reporting support, local fiscal compliance for retail operations, hardware for the cash desks, and technology for digital signage and in-store audio. The value of the project therefore lay in how these parts were connected into one coordinated solution rather than delivered as isolated services.

Solution

As the right answer to these requirements, 26HOUSE positioned Odoo as the central platform of the project. The main objective was not to solve only one local issue, but to create a stable operational backbone that would allow SF1 to run key business processes in one system and extend that model further as the business grows.

The delivered Odoo setup included accounting-related modules, warehouse management, invoice generation, exchange-rate calculations, and a cash desk module including eKasa support for retail operations. A key part of the solution was also the connection between Odoo and the Slovak accounting system POHODA, since Slovak legislation requires accounting treatment aligned with local rules. 26HOUSE provided the Slovak accounting localization and the technical system setup so that SF1 could work independently across individual modules. According to the Moore BDR material, more than 30 hours of IT support were dedicated specifically to module implementation and accounting integration.

This is exactly why Odoo should remain the central theme of the case study. It was not only used as an internal back-office ERP, but as the platform that connected operational processes into one manageable environment. In the earlier Victoria’s Secret Slovakia project, 26HOUSE implemented Odoo modules for sales, warehouse management, CRM, and reporting, and connected them to the needs of a live retail store in Bratislava. That project also highlighted key strengths of the solution, including an intuitive cashier interface, automated connection to ERP for warehouse management and invoicing, online communication with the Slovak Financial Administration via eKasa, payment-terminal integration possibilities, and scalability for future store growth.

26HOUSE as a partner, not only an implementer

What makes this case stronger is that 26HOUSE did not act only as an ERP implementer. We helped orchestrate the broader local setup around the technology. Through our network and cooperation model, the client gained not only Odoo implementation and Slovak eKasa readiness, but also access to the right local support structure needed for successful market entry.

For the accounting, tax, payroll, legal, and registration side, Moore BDR provided the local expertise required for a foreign entity entering the Slovak market. According to the attached material, this included registration of the Slovak branch, tax-office registration, employee registration, onboarding of the company and employees into the relevant insurance institutions, tax advisory and transfer pricing support, and later the outsourcing of accounting and payroll operations. In the early phases alone, Moore BDR spent more than 40 hours on tax advisory and transfer pricing consultations to ensure the structure was set correctly from the start.

After more than a year of cooperation, Moore BDR’s support reportedly covers payroll accounting for more than 50 employees, processing of approximately 7,000 accounting entries per month, monthly VAT processing and statutory reports, regular reporting and controlling, and representation before tax authorities. This is important for the story because it shows that the project was not only about launching a store, but about building a scalable operational model ready for long-term growth in Slovakia and, potentially, across the wider region.

The result

SF1, as a new player on the Slovak market, needed partners who understand local legislation, can ensure complete administrative and tax support, have proven ERP expertise, and are able to communicate and cooperate as one team. The combination of 26HOUSE and Moore BDR gave the client exactly that: a unified Odoo-based technology setup, legislatively correct local accounting support, fully outsourced payroll and tax services, and a scalable model ready for further growth in the region.

The Victoria’s Secret project in Slovakia showed that 26HOUSE can successfully deliver Odoo, eKasa, retail hardware, digital signage, and in-store audio for a live store environment. At the same time, the cooperation with Moore BDR showed that we can support a broader market-entry setup by connecting technology with accounting, tax, payroll, audit, and legal services.
